Tina Tuna

Tina is doing great. We affectionatly call her "Tina Tuna"...Whenever we can't find her because she is hiding and waiting to pop out of nowhere and say hello all we have to do is say "Here Tina Tuna kitty" and she will come joyfully from wherever she is. She is a doll...becoming more and more of an affectionate kitty! She is wonderful with the kids, she often runs from them but she will let them pet her, pick her up and love on her.....

Tina prefers dry food....when we give her the treat of wet food at night with her foster-brother Ashe, she will lick all the sauce off but leave the morsels. She is very content with her Purina Kitten Chow.....
She LOVES laser pointer play:) She will throw herself up walls to try and get the little red dot...She is hystarical!

She has also been alot more photogenic lately....Here are her latest glamour shots:)

ASHE HAS A HOME! TINA IS STILL AVAILABLE!

After sitting down and having conversation after conversation, my husband and I have decided to adopt Ashe ourselves. He has brought a whole new light into our house, and he truly is a spunky "wee-man" as we call him. We never intended to keep him, but we have both, my husband especially become sooo attached to him that we finally decided to make him a part of our family.

Tina is still available for adoption. She will continue to live here in our home until she finds a forever home of her own!! She too is a unique and sassy little girl whom ANY family would be blessed to have!!!!

I will be posting more pictures of Tina in the coming days!!

Warming Up to Each Other

Tina really loves Ashe:) So much so that she feels the need to sleep on him lol...He loves it though---will just nap forever like this.................

Ashe and Tina have been spending so much time playing lately that it seems rare that they settle down to rest--but lately they have been snuggling up to each other to sleep, and they bathe each other which is sooo cute. Tina likes to give Ashe a bath when he is napping:)

Quite a Pair!

Boy are Ashe and Tina a pair! They are little firecrackers:) Flying up and down the stairs, chasing each other and wrestling. They are so happy to have found each other--each having been a singleton at their admitance to IAR.

Tina is mellowing a lot. At first she was really leery of being held and loved but my husband Jeremy has been working alot with her, and she now sits happily in our laps (after wearing herself out with Ashe!)

They both love to sit in my little boys soft "pooh bear" chair...They often wrestle for the spot:) It's HILARIOUS. But they have figured out how to take turns.

We have a little ritual at night with them...They eat their dry kitten food throughout the day/night, but every evening they get to share a can of wet food (usually Fancy Feast) and they LOOOOVE that!

Ashe's new friend "Tina"

Ashe has a new friend:) Another IAR kitty named "Tina". She is about the same age as him, shorter hair but equally as cute:) She will be fostering here with me as well:) She just arrived this morning and so far so good. She has been stalking Ashe and pouncing on him. She was nervous at first (who wouldn't be with 2 kids and other cats around) but has warmed up nicely just in the hour or so she has been here. She is not yet on the IAR website but I will be adjusting that ASAP:) I have yet to be able to get a picture of them together as they are darting around the house like bottle rockets:) But here are a couple of pics I managed to snap of her when she hopped into my lap:)

Ashe at Play!

Ashe has totally taken over the house...in a good way:) He has been playing non-stop with my older cats. Casey is not much for playing, but Noodle still has a lot of kitten in him so they spend alot of time chasing each other and other games. Their favorite game is one where Noodle gets in a box and Ashe attacks through the opening:) It was soo cute I had to take pictures:) Here they are:

Ashe's favorite toy is one of those kitten teaser springs with poof ball on top....It's what he goes for first in the morning:)

Ashe also is adorable during his resting periods:) He is a super kitten for sure!!!

Ashe's First Vet Visit:)

Ashe went to the vet today for the first time today:) He is younger then we first thought, about 5-6wks of age. He had his FIV/FELV snap test--which was negative YAY! And he had his first deworming. The doc also found that he has ear mites which will be easily treated with Ear Mite treatment. He weighs a wopping 1.25lbs right now....sweet little fella!

Ashe is not afraid of the vacuum at all:) He stood there staring at it like "what is that thing?" and tried to attack the cord:)

He has been getting along well with my other cats:) Chasing and playing with them, but I think they tire of him :) Sooo....in a few days Ashe will have a little playmate as I will be taking in another IAR foster kitty named Tina, and she will be blogged about here as well when she gets here:)

Here are a couple pictures I took of the little man...I love the one of him on his back, he looks like he is praying:) More to come as always:)

New Edition! "Ashe"

Get ready to view one of the cutest kittens in the world! This little bundle of fluff came into my world early yesterday morning when a good samaritan who had found him contacted IAR in need of placement.

We have named him ASHE. He is a ALL-STAR kitten in my opinion. He is wide open and full of zest for life. He is very playful, loves to bat balls around the house, chase shoe laces and just be a crazy kitten. Then in a moments notice, he'll crawl up onto your shoulder, nuzzle your cheek and fall asleep!

He is fully litter-trained, eating kitten food (and trying to eat whatever else he can get). He loves to chase and taunt my older cats. He loves to play with my children, and eats up all the attention he can get.

Here are just a few pictures...He is very photogenic so I am sure there is more to come!!! :)
